Was able to acquire shares of Chipotle Mexican Grill on the day of its initial public offering before the stock began to trade (though at a price premium) for $23/share; subsequently made a nearly 100% gain in one trading day after strong buying sent Chipotle north of $40/share, closed out the position 5 minutes before the closing bell. "IPO 'pops' like Chipotle's are rare, but when my research indicates that a 'pop' is likely, I take out a position and reap the gain every time."
